During a usability study, we realized that majority of our participants were in North America and Europe while our products are used across the globe. This led us down a path of gathering information on our current participant demographics and learning about industry best practices for inclusive UX. We engaged with our company’s DEI group to come up with a set of unbiased and inclusive demographic questions to get a better understanding of our participants. We also setup a process to responsibly collect and store this information. In this talk, we will share details about our journey, lessons learned and our future plans.
