Karen Donoghue is a seasoned interaction designer with her own global consulting practice, HumanLogic. In this UXPA Boston talk with Craig Newell, she will discuss their current work on designing and developing Local Haze, an air quality monitoring product for air quality enthusiasts monitoring over 30,000 sensors over six continents. In addition, Karen will cover some of the challenges she has faced in getting a new product to market while maintaining “ease of use” at the core of a growing product offering.

Through her global consulting practice, Karen collaborates with product leaders on discovery, conducts ideation for concept development, and performs requirements validation. Clients include Google, VMware, T-Mobile, SecurityScorecard, Beyond Identity, Olympus, Imprivata and many early-stage startups. Karen is an advisor to several technology startups and is a graduate of the MIT Media Laboratory.
